Ecstatic Dance
We dance once the month, but not in a certain rhythm like f.e. every fourth friday or so. We were one of the first to bring ecstatic dance into the region and are still going strong. We are a diverse community in the Rhein-Main Area, and attract people from all over the area, incl. Heidelberg and Frankfurt/Main.
We invite DJs from all over the world and have a bunch of local DJs who play alternately.
We open 6.30 pm on saturday

Driving Directions and Parking:You find free parking lots from April - September during summer in front of the iceskating hall. Otherwise parking is free in 5 min distance in front of the NORDBAD.
Very well connected to Autobahn A5 from North (Frankfurt) or South (Heidelberg), just 10 min from the exit DARMSTADT NORTH. You can come by train from Wiesbaden or Aschaffenburg, stop DARMSTADT NORTH. You reach the venue in 10 minutes walk.
If you pass by the EISSPORTHALLE, it's just behind it in the green meadow. You pass by a smal gate and you're there. We always hang out signs to make sure you can find us.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
