Ecstatic Dance
Welcome fellow dancer!
We are a small group of heart centered and passionate dancers coming together to offer a place for all to dance their pains away and embody new levels of lightness, playfulness and transcen~dance from life’s modern day woes.
Offering a variety of musical genres, and occasional reflective, encouraging prompts, we have a chance to surprise and challenge our bodies to move in new, unexpected ways. For fun, exercise and release. For introspection and self care.
Beginning and ending with a circle, we gather to hold space with one another and for ourselves. We ask only that you come sober and remain non verbal between the opening and closing circles.
Embodied Transcen~DANCE is a Dance Meditation offering space to connect with your self, body, mind and spirit; attune to your dreams, visions, hopes, fears, limitations and endless possibilities. To “unpack” what is being held, release and explore what is there, even if it is simply a chance to bounce about and have fun, stretch or be still.
Moving Through Habitual States, Stretching Into New Possibilities.
No experience necessary, all ages and bodies welcome.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK.
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
Transcen~DANCE is a safe place for ALL PEOPLE.
This form of dance is predominantly and foremost an opportunity to deeply listen and connect with ourselves, in a space with others who are doing the same.
The focus is inward, finding its outward expression.
Sensitivity and attunement to consent in sharing dance time with others is required for active and safe participations. A “No thank you” is indicated by prayer hands, distancing or dancing away. Celebrate the “NO” of the other as they likely are deeply enjoying dancing with their own soul.
