Adhering to the etiquette from the first Ecstatic Dance in Oakland: dance freely and respect yourself and others. No shoes, no booze, no perfumes, no talking on the dance floor. Gain consent before dancing with someone else.
Our Live DJs consistently craft conscious sets for our dancing pleasure.
This is THE dance floor for all of us dancers to converge; dancing our passion. Our language. Our lives.
Ecstatic Dance Atlanta is more than a conscious dance party; we’re a dance community.
Clarkston Community Center is a historic building in a community known as the most diverse in the United States. Not only does the room have great acoustics, but the hardwood floor has been danced upon for over 100 years.
Driving Directions and Parking:Ample parking on two sides of the building. There are signs directing you to the dance floor!

Dance Guidelines

Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
