Online Ecstatic Dance
Override is our first-ever Hudson Valley Ecstatic Dance event!!! Our soundscape will be facilitated by DJ Frank Pellegrino who has been DJing since 1999 in NYC and beyond. Frank started remixing/producing in the early 2000s and has released tracks on well-known labels and has gained the support of numerous artists.
MJ is a dancer, choreographer, and spiritual connector who will be hosting and facilitating the event. MJ has been moving throughout Westchester, NYC, and Arizona and is looking forward to sharing this space with you!
There will be a warm-up activity and an opening and closing circle, so please arrive on time so we can go on this journey together as a collective. The room will be open at 8:45 pm if you would like to sign in early. Please message MJ with any questions!
Our first event will be held virtually and attendees will receive the link once they RSVP. The event will continue to be updated with any additional information.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
