Xuxa is a California-based nomadic DJ and event producer, currently living in Massachusetts for the summer and fall. She's an avid traveler and loves getting to know communities all over the world through dance and music. She loves DJing everything from club settings to kink raves to pool parties and sunset magic hours, and has a particular affinity for ecstatic dance and the freedom that a no shoes-roll around on the floor-sober-full spectrum journey can offer.
Her signature event is called IMPACT! and is a kink-inspired wholistic dance party meant to activate your primal, sensual, playful body into motion and dance floor connection. You can expect all manner of house music, electronica, familiar remixes of old school 70\’s, 80\’s, and 90\’s tracks, hip hop, indie dance, afro-beat, world and genres that are impossible to describe and impossible not to groove to.
Bio
Xuxa (pronounced shoo-shuh) is a California based DJ Domme that has been taking refuge in music and dance since 1989. She trained with Tasha Blank\’s Powerhouse DJ School (PhDJ), and also with Dance The Medicine for Ecstatic Dance-specific DJ training with Bernice Raabis, Donna Carroll (co-founder of Ecstatic Dance Oakland) and various other international DJs.
Xuxa brings 35 years of dedicated sifting through LPs, cassettes, CDs, MTV, radio, live shows, streaming platforms, and countless dance floors to bring you a carefully-curated cornucopia of sound. She has been known to hunt every remix of a familiar track to find the yummiest one, and to leave dancers with tracks they’ve never heard but instantly salivate for.
Xuxa’s style is sexy, primal, playful, and magically cohesive in its diversity. Her favorite vibes include house (organic, funky, afro and otherwise), world, indie dance, hip hop and experimental electronic beats. Xuxa uses creative sequencing and impeccable track selection to rouse your whole being foot to crown. She wants your slap, your sweat, your silly, your sway, and your sensing body. Bring it in the door, leave it on the floor, and feed it to the reverb. There’s nothin’ you got that the music can’t handle.
