TRABANDIT = Trabandit = A portmanteau of the following terms: Trap & Bandit After many, many years without DJing, I rediscovered mixing through trap, or more precisely, through Alison Wonderland. I was thrilled by the enormous evolution in music and the DJ scene. Trap, in particular, was new to me personally, and I was immediately hooked again. In my view, trap utilizes all genres and takes everything like a bandit. Hence, Trap Bandit, Trabandit. Trabant I was born in East Germany and grew up with the techno, house, and drum and bass scene of the 90s and 2000s. The good old Technics turntables and illegal raves remain fond memories to this day. For me, the Trabant moon symbolizes the eternal cycle of things, spirituality, eternal energy, and much more. Music, with all its facets, can also represent this, again and again, at any time. IT The money has to come from somewhere, and I’ve been earning my living in IT for what feels like forever. Band The band is also a perfect fit for me. Music is like a band that has always connected people to themselves and to each other. I experience this again and again, especially in Ecstatic Dance. Music connects people with their feelings, with their souls, and connects all sorts of different people. I really appreciate this. It also reminds me of the good old parties and makes me dream of new events. So, for me, it’s also a band between the past, the present, and the future. I can’t speak Russian anymore—four years of Russian in school is just too long ago—but I still like them. Genres Ecstatic Dance, Techno, House, DnB, Garage, Downtempo, Electro, Trap… Anything I like.
