Tara-Ma
Founder and facilitator of Ecstatic Dance Providence and regular guest DJ at several other dances around New England, Tara~Ma brings together an electronic tapestry of music styles and sounds to create a high vibrational dance journey. Flowing, fluid, heart centered beats merge with core opening tribal rhythms. Grit and grind meet bounce and sway. Blissful, harmonic and provocative vocals tumble gently toward sound healing vibrations. Also experienced in leading meditation journeys and facilitating group sharing, Tara~Ma is an attentive keeper of the dance space ritual, in service to the divine, from opening to closing.

“I began DJing shortly after founding Ecstatic Dance Providence in 2011. My love of conscious dance and passion for a wide range of juicy dance music inspired me to begin creating live sets for the event. I have been a guest DJ and facilitator for other like minded dance events around New England such as Dance New England Dance Camp, Nectar Ecstatic Dance, Dance Spirit, Ecstatic Dance at the Reliquarium, and Resonate/Hartford Ecstatic Dance. In a past life I was a singer in a 3 part harmony Swing band and spent years singing jazz and original acoustic music onstage. I am inspired and motivated by this new path toward divine universal connection and envision incorporating my voice as another tool for creating the music that brings us to that vibration.”
