Meiko Deen
Michael Gregory
DJ Meiko Deen has done Ecstatic Dances for the last 10 years. Originally a student of Gabriel Roths 5 Rhythms, he quickly developed his own style and story for the dancefloor. Having been a dancer for most of his life and his love of music made the transsition from dancefloor to DJ quite simple, yet the journey to becoming an expert took many years of playing live and deepening his understanding of how to use the music to heal, transform and excite.

My MUsic

Fusion soundscape could best describe the style I play, while creating a story, a journey to travel into unknown and known spheres of the dancefloor, whilst exploring self and connection with others.

While using multiple genres and always being open to learn how to use more and interweaving them too.

I love to fully use the technical instruments that are available to me and call myself a sound fetishist. I don’t actually care for rules as I am a free spirit. Yet, I know when it supports to have guidelines but also when egos create new religions to keep their folks in line. My calling is to unify and connect, my reach is always a small step higher – all the while going deeper – with myself and others.

Bio

DJ Meiko Deen has done Ecstatic Dances for the last 10 years. Originally a student of Gabriel Roths 5 Rhythms, he quickly developed his own style and story for the dancefloor. Having been a dancer for most of his life and his love of music made the transition from dancefloor to DJ quite simple, yet the journey to becoming an expert took many years of playing live and deepening his understanding of how to use the music to heal, transform and excite. Having played at clubs and parties and weddings, he has mastered many challenges about the DJ life, starting at organisational skills right down to the technical details of digital DJing and all the things to learn inbetween. As he only started to DJ at age 49, he has lots of life experience which flows into the mix, making it deep, exciting, loving and peace-bringing.
