Passionate about music and deejaying, Joël took his first steps behind the decks in his hometown’s clubs during the vibrant rise of electronic music in the 1990s. Over the years, he explored a wide range of styles, from Acid Jazz to breakbeat, trip-hop to downtempo, as well as house, NuDisco, and minimal techno. However, he soon realised that these classifications did not fully capture his artistic vision—one that embraces a free and fluid approach, where genres blend to create an immersive sonic experience.

Driven by this desire for exploration, Joël gradually stepped away from the nightlife scene to deepen his relationship with music and movement. He took up piano lessons and turned towards more conscious practices. His encounter with Conscious Dance Leadership proved to be a pivotal moment, offering him a framework more aligned with his aspirations.

At the end of 2017, he launched his first Ecstatic Dance event, which quickly gained widespread success. Inspired by the growing enthusiasm for this practice, he expanded his reach, bringing his events to different regions of Switzerland and attracting an ever-growing audience.

His experience as a DJ is evident in his sets, carefully crafted to guide dancers through a rich tapestry of emotions. With a keen sense of seamless transitions, he weaves musical journeys that encourage movement exploration and deep inner connection. Always in search of new sonic dimensions, he incorporates live keyboard elements into his performances, adding a fresh, improvisational touch that enhances the immersive quality of his mixes.

Guided by his sensitivity and a deep desire to create authentic spaces for expression, Joël has become a key figure in the free dance scene in French-speaking Switzerland, weaving a unique connection between music and the moving body at every event.
