Fatima Gozlan
Fatou is an Ecstatic Dance DJ-producer and the co-founder of Ecstatic Dance Budapest. She is a flutest (ney, kawal, fula-flute) and a percussionist. (Darbuka, bongo, djembe) She studied percussion in Egypt as a disciple of a well known local percussionist; Khamis Henkesh and rapidly gained popularity with her darbuka playing and recandled her obsession for flutes, studied Ney through her trips to Tunezia, Turkey, Egypt and India. She recently started composing music for soundhealing and Ecstatic Dance sessions, using the methods of the ancient healing with maqams and Tibetian sounds. Her style is mostly inspired by Arabic classical and Sufi music, as well as the sounds and beats of North-African and Middle-Eastern music. A musician of Kaya Project, The Spy from Cairo, Brooklyn Gypsies and Deva.
