Ecstatic Dance is where I can express myself to the fullest, given the lack of restrictions in terms of tempo and rhythm.I also greatly appreciate that the lack of chatter makes for better focus and sound quality, and that the audience usually participates through the whole set without leaving the room. These conditions make it so much easier for the dancers to enter flow state.I create an ecstatic wave starting from slow meditative tunes, gradually building up to high-energy songs, and then bringing it back down again. This journey delves into a wide range of emotions.My music collection mainly consists of electronic chillout and downtempo, and tribal world music. Sometimes, I also sprinkle in a few pop songs and retro tunes.I’ve played a set at a Women’s retreat in Poland in June, and am exploring further opportunities this summer.
Bio
I’m a very musical person, coming from a family where everyone plays an instrument. I myself studied to play the piano for 10 years, along with music theory and history, until dancing took priority in my life. Nowadays, I enjoy playing my djembo drum.As a dancer, I regard my body as another instrument in the song. The music drives me, I love to hit the interesting details and rhythms in the music. I’m almost unable to have a good dance to a song I don’t like, while hearing a nice new tune makes my day.I’ve been collecting and categorizing my music for decades. Ever since childhood, I’ve had a strong desire to share my favourite songs with others.I started DJ-ing in 2023. I taught myself through online content, observing my role models, learning on the job, and a little help from my DJ friends.
