Ecstatic Dance
This is a new, weekly, Sunday morning Ecstatic Dance offering for Philly. The Sunday morning Ecstatic Dance is a mainstay of the birthplace of Ecstatic Dance (Kalani) as well as all of the major cities on the West Coast. We are going to do another three month trial run of hosting Ecstatic Dances at Sera Phi, 941 N Front St. Philadelphia, PA 19123 (Jan-Mar 2026) to see if a weekly Sunday morning Ecstatic Dances are something the Philly region will support by showing up and letting our souls dance. Please come dance with us and let us know that this is a dance option you want to have ongoing into the future.
The schedule:
10:30 am – doors open to the public
11:10 am-11:50 am – warm-up/yoga
11:50 am-12:00 pm – opening circle and community guidelines
12:00 pm-1:30 pm – Ecstatic Dance

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
