Ecstatic Dance
This monthly ecstatic dance is held in the Jackson Banquet Hall of the Jefferson Community Church.
We follow the traditional ecstatic dance form of having a warmup dance (anywhere from 20-60 min), followed by an opening circle, then followed by the main wave dance (60-90 min), and then closed with an opening circle.
We welcome all peoples and do all that we can to provide a container where dance can serve to foster healing, self-expression, connection and numerous other facets of human growth.
Our desire is that no matter where you dance, or who you dance with, may you find your truest or most authentic self as you embody your practice!
Parking is in the back parking lot, or on the Donaldson Ave street just outside the banquet hall.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
