DANCE JOURNEY….Enjoy a two-hour, DJ’d musical “journey” with your DJ and host Daniel Mollner. Music for the first 10-15 minutes is ambient and downtempo for you to drop in and move slowly. The tempo begins to build gradually from there reaching a peak or catharsis in the second half of the dance. Afterwards the music comes down, softening and slowing towards the end for relaxation and rest as we conclude the dance.

Please keep this space drug/alcohol free and conversation off the dance floor! Turn phones and devices off if you can and please only use or check them if absolutely necessary (away from the dance area).
*** We gather on Wednesday evenings (8-10pm) as well and you’ll definitely want to check that out too for the nighttime dance vibes! These two weekly S O U L A R U S dances happen at the same location in Santa Cruz (London Nelson Center 301 Center St.)
S O U L A R U S is a unique expression of the global conscious/ecstatic dance movement. It is a place for freeform dance and movement meditation with a rich musical tapestry spun by Daniel Mollner and occasional guest DJs. It is a non-conversational space where we express with our bodies. All are welcome over 14 years of age.
The dance space is sacred. Move in the way that feels right for you. Dance however you wish. We support each individual’s range and style of expression while respecting and considering our impact on each other and the space.
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move easily in. Bring water and anything else you might need to dance deep, wide, and free.

Dance Guidelines
SOULARUS – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This is a non-conversational space. Expressive sounds of course very welcome.
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
