Ecstatic Dance
Raleigh Ecstatic Dance is a safe space where people of all races, ages, genders, and socio-economic classes are openly welcome to unite in the experience of an authentic moment. It is a physical and mental rehabilitation that strips down the interactions between the individual self, music, and others.
Ecstatic dance is a form of abandonment, meaning, there are no steps to follow. The rhythm of the music will become one’s only guidance and is intended to lead the individual freely enough to expose the purest form of ecstasy: life.
Driving Directions and Parking:We are generally nomadic and dance outside at different locations in the Raleigh area. Please see our FB and IG for updates on location and time.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
