Ecstatic Dance
We get started a few minutes after 6, with an opening circle. We always have an altar for whatever our theme is that week, so please feel free to bring an item to place on it!
Driving Directions and Parking:Northwestern is above the Oil Exchange, drive all the way to the right side of the building and all the way up the gravel driveway to the back parking lot, past the apartment parking lot. You will see a mountain scene painted on the side of the building, park there!

Dance Guidelines
-Non-verbal space. Once the dance begins, you’re invited to find forms of communication that don’t involve words, whether you’re connecting with others or with your own body/inner world. Sounds and noises are always welcome!
–No phones or cameras. If you need to be on your phone, we ask that you step outside of the space.
–Alcohol-free space.
–CONSENT! Every interaction needs to have clear consent and intention from every person involved (a welcoming energy, eye contact, open body language, etc.) — never take it personally if someone does not want to dance with you. This is a vulnerable space and a lot of us only want to dance with ourselves!
–Release judgement. Come as you are, bringing your full self.
–Stillness is welcome. However you want to move, or not move, is entirely welcome and beautiful.
–You are your primary dance partner. This is a practice of each of us showing up for ourselves — listening to what your body needs and wants.
