Ecstatic Dance
Imagine a free dance practice, where no prior experience is needed—just surrender to the journey of music and conscious movement that heals and expands. ✨
Ecstatic Dance is a free expression of the body, in deep connection with the music. It takes place in silence, within a safe and inclusive space. It’s an invitation to spontaneous movement and presence. 🙌
The musical journey of this silent dance will be guided by Sofi Casanova and Mello, who, blending electronic beats with organic elements, create soundscapes that inspire freedom of movement and sensory exploration for everyone. 🧡
🌿 Essential Elements of Ecstatic Dance:
* The dance happens in full meditation and silence;
* Awareness and respect: each person’s personal space is sacred, and consent is a fundamental part of the dance;
* Natural expansion: we do not use alcohol or consciousness-altering substances – the journey is inward;
* Authentic expression: we dance with all that we are – emotions, sensations, intentions.
Many practitioners report benefits such as:
🌱 increased body awareness;
🌱 stress reduction;
🌱 emotional release;
🌱 a sense of belonging and connection with the whole.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
