15 minutes of ❤️ sharing
This is a ‘free-style’ movement space.
All are welcome.
You do not need to consider yourself a ‘dancer’ to join.
We move however we want, in whatever way feels best to us.
Let yourself be influenced by the beats, the dance space, your mood and the resonance you may feel with others in the dance.
Flow of Ecstatic Dance Volcan:
- Arrive @ 10:30 to socialize, settle, stretch, then warm up to soft, slow music
- 10:45-11:45 Music journey – connecting with movement & music; Dancing together or apart, ending in stillness.
- 11:45-noon – Sharing Circle
We dance to a blend of world music, funk, house, soul, electro swing, positive hip hop, reggae, dance classics, jazz, blues and electronica to uplift and free our minds, spirits and bodies.
Please no strong scents/perfume, intoxicants, active cell phones, photos, or videos. Best to leave your dog(s) at home.
Dance is currently held at Harmony Gates’ home. Plenty of parallel parking inside the gate.
We currently have a ‘share table’ where you can bring and share items that you wish to pass on to others.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without conversation (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers; however singing and sounding is encouraged
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
