Conscious Dance Savannah together with project: Joy is coming to the Liberty City Community Center where we honor the joyful spirit of dance and its divine expression through movement.

Conscious Dance Savannah is part of the worldwide Ecstatic Dance organization and is posed to be an integral part of building Savannah’s conscious dance scene as Savannah’s first Ecstatic Dance hosted by project: Joy!

We offer an inclusive space for dance and mindful embodiment. Our dance floor is substance free, shoe free (unless dance shoes, phone free, and talk free.) We welcome all ages, all stages, all bodies, and all backgrounds.

Our DJs create sets consciously designed with a wide genre of musical styles and tempos that encourage, and facilitate, inner and outer reflection through movement.

We are happy to announce our next collaboration with the phenomenal talent, dj Tracy Levine, aka HouseCat, from the capital city of the Southeast, Atlanta Georgia. Tracy is a former professional ballroom dancer, raised by parents that were professional dancers that owned studios across the Southeast, and also in England where she grew up. She is the owner of the dance and creative studio, The Collective Studio Space (IG: @thecollectivestudiospace)

Dance is her first love, and has given her the innate ability to select music that lights up the dance floor, by gathering a library of music that makes her want to move. A dj for 35 years, she has played in countless nightclubs and events. She currently holds residencies at 3 Atlanta nightclubs, and performs at many more, she is known for weaving through the eclectic rhythms of house music; soulful, Afro, Latin, deep, tribal, and underground sounds. Music with beautiful melodies, vocals, hypnotic and infectious rhythms, and positive message lyrics. The spiritual sounds of South African house music, and Latin flavored grooves will take us on a rhythmic journey that will ignite our spirits and move our bodies in joyful harmony.

She has a passion for creating immersive musical experiences with uplifting vibes to create an atmosphere of pure magic on the dance floor. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or new to ecstatic movement, Tracy’s dynamic sets will inspire you to let go, express yourself freely, and dance with unbridled joy.

Tracy’s set will start right after a warm welcoming opening circle conducted by our host Inga for the evening. We welcome you to come, get comfortable, meet and greet from 6pm til 6:30, Opening Circle: 6:30pm – 6:45, Dance: 6:45 – 8:45pm, Closing Circle.

Our Theme for April is “New Beginnings” – Let us give room to new possibilities, fresh starts, new relationships and any intention still lingering waiting to be reignited. Come join the community of like minded seekers on this rejuvenating night. Feel free to bring mats for stretching, drums, tamborines, something to place on the altar that is special to you.
Light refreshments provided, feel free to bring your own water bottle.
