Ecstatic Dance
Doors open at 7PM, and entry is locked at 7:20PM, so you won’t be able to get in if you arrive after that. Bring a water bottle and your authentic self – no need to feel your best or be any particular way, so long as you can uphold our guidelines. We are a small community just getting started – maximum is about 22 dancers in the space. We are building up to be able to bring in live DJs, but for now Jenny holds it down with her themed journey playlists. We keep the lights low (with some gentle galactic projections). there is a space just outside the room with benches and lights on if you need to take some space or use the washroom.

Dance Guidelines
There are some core agreements we make as a community:
– This is a sober, substance-free, scent-free space
– No talking on the dance floor (cathartic sounding and toning is welcomed)
– Consent culture is upheld, and everyone chooses their own level of interaction.
– Respect personal space and take care of yourself.
– We dance barefoot (socks are fine, no outdoor/hard soled shoes)
– No phones on the floor
– Choose presence over performance
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We dance barefoot – allowing us to connect more fully with the ground (socks are ok).
2. We dance without words – we choose this as a practice in non-verbal communication, allowing us to drop more easily int a meditative state.
3. We dance as we are and prioritize consent – sober, no phones/cameras, no scents, no expectations, no judgements – just be yourself! With respect for ourselves, the space, and one another.
