Ecstatic Dance is free-form movement inspired by music, allowing our bodies to move freely without judgment or concern. It is about dancing like no one is watching you.

Ecstatic Dance empowers people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and backgrounds to get out of their heads and experience a liberating dance atmosphere that creates a melting pot of acceptance, giving all dancers permission and courage to dance without inhibition.

Join us and enjoy a safe space to dance without talking, drinking, and the nightclub vibe. This is about getting great exercise, freeing your mind and body, and connecting with yourself and others in vibrant health.

Each dance is a different 75 – 90 minute eclectic playlist in a “wave form”. Depending on the dance, a range of various styles of music are woven together into an hour-plus long playlist including anything from world, reggae, jazz, blues, rock, folk, Latin, tribal, club, house, electronica, dance & DJ, R&B, soul, funk, gospel, classical and new age.

Dance Guidelines

Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
