Ecstatic Dance

Hello from Ecstatic Dance DXB,

As a community grounded in peace and love, having the opportunity to heal together is a privilege. We honor this through the ritual of conscious movement as we dance for solidarity, peace and unity.

For our next gathering on Fri 17th November we welcome international guest artist, J.POOL at Joint Space, Alserkal Avenue. J.Pool is at the forefront of the global ethnic & organic electronic music scene. He is a nomad at heart, traveling the world & collecting creative inspirations from cultures & nature, channeling it into his musical journeys.

As a community, our intention for this Ecstatic Dance gathering is to transmute the current energies by freely expressing ourselves and expanding through the inspiration & power of music, movement & dance!

Dance Guidelines

Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
