The Agreements of Rhythm Palace
With love and respect, we offer these Agreements to our community that are based on the Tenets of Ecstatic Dance as written by the original founders. When we choose to attend an Ecstatic Dance Ceremony hosted by Rhythm Palace we acknowledge and agree to the following:
*WE RESPECT OURSELVES.*
We’ve made a decision to devote our time and energy to attending a Ceremony. Honor that decision. Choose to have the fullest experience that you can. Arrive on time to feel settled and relaxed. Be fully present and put your phone away. Be open to fully expressing yourself in movement and with joyous noise. Allow yourself to be free from self-conscious fear and judgement. Be YOU, authentic and sober, without the use of substances. Create and maintain your meditative/flow state by not talking on the dance floor. Protect your access to this Ceremony by respecting the venue space.
*WE RESPECT EACH OTHER.*
We’ve chosen to be among other humans. Honor their experience as you would your own. Arrive on time to avoid distracting the Opening Circle. Keep your phone out of the dance area. Allow others to be free from distraction by taking no pictures or video. Allow others to create and maintain their meditative/flow state by not talking on the dance floor. Protect their access to this Ceremony by respecting the venue space.
*WE RESPECT THE SPACE.*
A venue space is a privilege. Protect our privilege by honoring the stipulations outlined by the owners of the event space. Stay in designated areas. Leave the space better than we found it. Respect the material items of the venue space. Honor the Sacred items of the Sanctuary space by not interfering with them
PLEASE endeavor to be on time for the Opening Circle. However we all know that time, logistics, life, and punctuality are not best friends. Do not let being late discourage you from attending. We would rather have you with us late, than not at all. We will leave space for you in the Opening Circle near the door.
