About this dance
Ecstatic Dance ABQ is a barefoot, free-form dance experience guided by Luna Elizabeth, who offers a sacred, non-judgmental space to move, sweat, and connect. Each dance begins with a shared intention or poem and flows through a curated musical journey building in energy, then gently returning to stillness. Rooted in Luna’s background in NIA, 5Rhythms, and Soul Motion, and founded in 2010, this heart-centered practice welcomes all people with a willingness to move and be moved.

Three simple guidelines
Learn more about ecstatic danceWe dance barefoot
This allows us to connect more fully with the ground. Socks are OK, and dance shoes are fine if a physical condition calls for them.
We dance without words
This makes it easier to be in a meditative state. No verbal instruction from the facilitators, no talking from the dancers.
We dance sober, as we are
No drugs or alcohol, no phones or cameras, no scents. Just be yourself, with respect for ourselves, the space and one another.
