Ecstatic Dance
There will NOT be a mid-week dance during the month of December!
Our first Wednesday Dance will be New Year’s Day (Jan. 1) with a mix intended to be facilitated in a sacred space. This will be held at the Unitarian Church on Kingston Pike.
Our next Wednesday date will be Jan. 22, with a mix that will bring the Chinese Year of the Dragon to a close. This will be held at our usual location in South Knoxville at Inner Perfect on Chapman Hwy.
~ our dance ends with a closing circle for all to reconnect and share ~
At Inner Perfect: Feel free to park anywhere around the entire building. However, the entrance for dance is through the blue/green door at the front. Please be mindful of the two shop cats that live in the space full time and are sometimes curious about what might be on the outer side of the front door!

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
