Ecstatic Dance
This dance will be on January 13th from 7-9pm
We will open with a lil check in and short meditation while enjoying an herbal elixir prepared by Abigail to ground into our bodies, connect to each other, and enhance the somatic experience with some medicinal earthy goodness. Abigail will share what is in the elixir and is always gentle but optional. Then move into a 5 rhythms style dance, where we will journey through flow, staccato, chaos, lyrical, and stillness rhythmic music in a silent somatic dance experience and then end with a short sharing circle.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
We will open and close the circle with a casual check in but then there is
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators during the movement
No Talking from the Dancers, the intention is to focus on your personal experience
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
