Ecstatic Dance
We at Conscious Sounds are excited to be back with another ecstatic dance for the month of march. As this dance falls close to the equinox we felt the calling to lean into the energies it brings of balance, renewal and transformation, and what better way to do this than with an offering of Blue lotus tea whos spirit also encompasses these energies.
Join us on Sunday 23rd March at wye Village Hall TN25 5EA for an evening of free-spirited dancing and connection. Let go of your inhibitions and let the music guide you we release what is no longer needed to bring balance and create space for what is to comethrough non verbal, barefoot dance in a safe and inclusive space.
No experience necessary, just come as you are and dance like nobody is watching.
Doors open at 1815 to begin at 1830
We look forward to seeing you there!
Ecstatic dance offers numerous health benefits, both physical and emotional. It promotes cardiovascular fitness by encouraging movement that increases heart rate, while also improving flexibility, coordination, and muscle strength.
The freeform nature of the practice helps reduce stress and anxiety, as it allows for emotional release and enhances mental clarity. By fostering mindfulness and body awareness, ecstatic dance can also improve mood, boost self-esteem, and promote a sense of connection with oneself and others.
Overall, it provides a holistic approach to wellness, integrating mind, body, and spirit.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
