As the year draws to a close and winter wraps us in its stillness, join us for an afternoon of movement, connection, and renewal. The Light Within is a conscious ecstatic dance journey designed to help you release the old, ignite your inner spark, and celebrate the magic of this season. We’ll begin this sacred experience with a heart-opening cacao ceremony to deepen our connection and set powerful intentions.

- £20 on the door
- Children up to 11yrs old free, £11- (12yrs. to 18 yrs.)
What to Expect
This is more than just a dance – it’s a sacred space to explore, express, and embrace your authentic self. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or a complete beginner, you’re welcome to move freely and intuitively.
Our journey includes:
- 3:30 PM – Arrival & Heart-Opening Cacao Ceremony
- Settle into the space with a warm cup of ceremonial-grade cacao. This ancient plant medicine will help us connect to our hearts, the theme of “The Light Within,” and our shared energy as a community.
- 3:50 PM – Opening Circle
- A grounding meditation and intention-setting ritual to align your energy with the dance journey.
- 4:00 PM – Guided Dance Journey
- Awakening the Body: Gentle movements to awaken and ground.
- Releasing the Old: Free-flowing expression to let go of the past year’s energy.
- Igniting the Light: Uplifting music to connect with your inner spark and joy.
- Integration & Stillness: A calming soundscape to ground and reflect.
- 5:35 PM – Closing Circle & Candlelit Ritual
- Gather together to honor our journey and set intentions for the season ahead.
- 5:45 PM – Snack & Share
- Stay a little longer to enjoy community connection over shared snacks. Please bring a treat to contribute to this gathering as we celebrate the light within us all.
What to Bring
- Dress Creatively: Gold, white, or any outfit that symbolizes your inner light or the festive season, or your normal comfy clothes.
- A water bottle to stay hydrated.
- A cup for the cacao ceremony.
- A snack to share during the post-dance gathering.
- Yoga matt, blankie and a cushion
- An open heart and a willingness to move freely.
What Is Cacao?
Ceremonial cacao is a sacred plant medicine traditionally used to open the heart and connect with one’s inner self. Its warm, grounding energy enhances creativity, intuition, and emotional release, making it the perfect way to begin this soulful journey.
Who Is This For?
This space is for anyone who feels called to move, release, and connect. You don’t need any prior dance experience – just come as you are.

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
