Ecstatic Dance
On November 4th at First Street Studio, I invite all to come share space, co-creating a sacred container with the divine to express ourselves through a musical movement journey. We shall call in the 7 Directions, nourish ourselves with sacred Cacao and flow freely with artist HONEST
(5 Rhythms influenced set). This is an invitation to dance and move, judgment free, as the most liberated version of yourself.
( Musical Journey )
Honest’s music explores the spaces in between worlds and bridges gaps between genres and cultures. You may have seen him opening up for Mose or Equanimous at festivals, or playing his music at Ecstatic Dance around DFW. His songs are the perfect integration of earthy soundscapes blended with otherworldly atmospheres. His versatility and ability to tackle endless genres while maintaining distinct recognizability is one of the aspects that makes him Honest.
( Cacao Ceremony )
Drinking cacao together in a sacred ritual, where intentions are set, can unlock euphoric states, release negative emotions and connect us to ourselves and the loving energy within our body.
( 7 Directions Calling )
The seven teachings include love, respect, honesty, courage/bravery, truth, wisdom and humility and each teaching is represented by an animal. Each animal helps teach us how we can live our lives respecting animals, people, and the environment – every living thing.
“I could never claim to be fully Honest – I hide things even from myself – but it is my aim to be. My great friend Daniel once reminded me that ‘Truth is an asymptote, and though we may never achieve it, it is still worth striving for.’ ”

Dance Guidelines
Ecstatic Dance – 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
