© 2020 ECSTATIC DANCE
Ecstatic Dance 3rd Saturdays at the PCC is a special monthly offering of Santa Cruz Ecstatic Dance created by Daniel Mollner and friends. This is an evening in which we playfully and thoughtfully expand the ED experience by offering unique versions and interpretations of what a dance journey can be...and how ED communities come together.
Each month we choose a playful/potent theme or feature a special artist that pushes into new ED territory with their creativity and passion. We often look for elements of live music, ritual or ceremony, important astrological dates or holidays, spotlight particular genres of music, or seek to raise awareness through movement, connection, and expression.

Ecstatic Dance - 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot)
This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK)
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK
2. We Dance without words (or: We Dance with Body Language)
This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State
No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators
No Talking from the Dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
