Ecstatic Dance New Orleans offers a transformative, free-form movement experience where participants can connect deeply with themselves and others through dance. In a safe, welcoming space, dancers are invited to express themselves fully without judgment or the need for choreography.
Ecstatic Dance events begin with a gentle warm-up, followed by a dynamic DJ-led journey designed to inspire movement, creativity, and embodiment. The practice encourages freedom of expression, mindfulness, and connection, supporting both personal and collective healing. In this sober, non-verbal container, Ecstatic Dance New Orleans fosters a sacred space for authentic, heart-centered movement and community connection.

1. We Dance Barefoot
This allows us to connect more fully with the ground
If you have a physical condition that requires supportive dancer’s shoes, wear shoes that make you feel safe.
2. We Dance in a Nonverbal Space
This makes it easier to be in a meditative state
No verbal instruction from the facilitators
No talking from the dancers
3. We Dance as We Are
No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
